On last night’s 7 pm hour of CNN’s The Situation Room, Jack Cafferty used “fear” to get re-elected in 2004. He also denounced that the war in Iraq as part of the war on terror. Cafferty then said that the reasoning of “fight them over there so we do not have to fight them here” was not true.

JACK CAFFERTY: Since 9/11, the priority number one has been to protect this country from another terrorist attack. President Bush rode our fear of that very thing to a second term in office. The War in Iraq is advertised as part of the War on Terror. A half a trillion dollars and 2300 dead Americans soldiers, so that we can fight them over there so we don’t have to fight them over here.” But what about over here?

Well Mr. Cafferty, we can start right in your back yard, if you like.

This seems to be the “excuse du jour” many liberals are using. Where was this outcry in 2004? In sports, you can see when an athlete is becoming frustrated and agitated. They do not perform to the best of their ability. Many democrats and media members are behaving in ways unbecoming of an upstanding politician or journalist.

Democrats have been screaming that Bush is a terrorist for the last 4 years! They’ve also been declaring that Cheney is a torturer! Rice doesn’t have a clue! Got rid of Ashcroft, now Gonzolez needs to go!

Democrats are watching their beloved humanist views of moral relevantism, evolution, atheismism, and others fly out the window. It’s natural to expect desperation shots from the left in an attempt to gain some credibility. Fine…keep amusing me, but don’t whine too much when you lose again at the polls for not having anything productive to push for an agenda.
