Liberal Anti-War Rescuees Ungrateful

This is so typical.

Three Western peace workers who were held hostage in Iraq for four months were freed in a military operation today, two weeks after their American colleague was killed in captivity.

The three men – James Loney, 41, and Harmeet Singh Sooden, 32, both from Canada; and Norman Kember, 74, of Britain – had been kidnapped last November along with the American man, Tom Fox, in Baghdad.

Mr. Fox’s body was found this month.

“Our hearts are filled with joy today as we heard that Harmeet Singh Sooden, Jim Loney and Norman Kember have been safely released in Baghdad,” said a statement from the group they were working with, the Christian Peacemaker Teams.

The liberal Christian Peacemaker Team needs to know and admit that yes, these were RESCUED. Not freed. And rescued by the very people they protest.

Indeed, numerous Michelle Malkin reader’s visited the Christian Peacemaker Teams website looking for the group’s statement on the rescue.

Instead all they found were CPT reader comments expressing their “heartfelt thanks for a safe release.”

One Malkin reader sent the following note to CPT:

I read your press release relating the “release” of the activists; please note that they were not released, they were rescued. The term release implies that their captors let them go. You know that is not true, they were rescued by a team of American and British soldiers who risked their lives to free people whom apparently have no gratitude for their actions.

I believe the only thing that would make these liberals express any kind of thanks is if we fast forward about 3 years from now and, if by chance, a Democrat wins the Presidency. Then America would probably begin to pull the troops out of Iraq immediately. If this happens, any rescued captors would be “obligated” to return thanks to a liberal President

Thank the brave troops who assisted in the RESCUE here.
