Creation Museum: A Nice Addition to Countering Evolution

Evolution has been so engrained through our little humanist camps called “public schools” that many would’nt know how to decipher a true statement from a false one.

Via FoxNews:

PETERSBURG, Ky. — Like most natural history museums, this one has exhibits showing dinosaurs roaming the Earth. Except here, the giant reptiles share the forest with Adam and Eve.

That, of course, is contradicted by science, but that’s the point of the $25 million Creation Museum rising fast in rural Kentucky.

Contradicted because “modern science” has historically ignored creationism. Or better said as, “Truthism.” Scientists can “contradict” it all they want but that doesn’t make evolution truth. In fact, many evolutionists are now coming to conclusions that evolution holds no basis and is more theory than fact.

This Creation Museum is associated with GospelCom, a highly credible Christian organization that seeks to infiltrate the world with the Christian worldview.

Its inspiration is the Bible — the literal interpretation that contends God created the heavens and the Earth and everything in them just a few thousand years ago.

“If the Bible is the word of God, and its history really is true, that’s our presupposition or axiom, and we are starting there,” museum founder Ken Ham said uring recent tour of the sleek and modern facility, which is due to open next year.

“We’re going to show you that we can make sense of the different people groups, we can make sense of fossils, we can make sense of what you see in the world,” he said.

From the museum’s ‘About Us’ page:

AiG (Answers in Genesis) teaches that “facts” don’t speak for themselves, but must be interpreted. That is, there aren’t separate sets of “evidences” for evolution and creation—we all deal with the same evidence (we all live on the same earth, have the same fossils, observe the same animals, etc.). The difference lies in how we interpret what we study. The Bible—the “history book of the universe” – provides a reliable, eye-witness account of the beginning of all things, and can be trusted to tell the truth in all areas it touches on. Therefore, we are able to use it to help us make sense of this present world. When properly understood, the “evidence” confirms the biblical account.

When someone insists that you “leave the Bible out” of any discussion on creationsim vs. evolution, they are really saying the deck should be stacked one way.

Creationists and evolutionists, all have the same evidence—the same facts.

Why do we interpret facts differently? Because we start with different presuppositions. These are things that are assumed to be true, without being able to prove them. These then become the basis for other conclusions. All reasoning is based on presuppositions (also called axioms). A person will not interpret the evidence differently until they put on a different set of glasses—which means to change one’s presuppositions. Easier said than done.

A Christian with a Christian worldview cannot divorce the spiritual nature of the battle from the battle itself. A non-Christian is not neutral. The Bible makes this very clear: “The one who is not with Me is against Me, and the one who does not gather with Me scatters” (Matthew 12:30); “And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil” (John 3:19).
