11 09 2006

Several months ago, I came across a website called 2,996.

It didn’t take me long to realize that I needed to sign up to be one of 2,996 bloggers that will honor one 9/11 victim each and write a special post for them on Sept. 11, 2006 to comemorate the fifth anniversary of that horrific day that changed our country forever. I am blogger number 1,265 and my honoree is Peter M. West.

2,996 is a tribute to the victims of 9/11.

On September 11, 2006, 2,996 volunteer bloggers
will join together for a tribute to the victims of 9/11.
Each person will pay tribute to a single victim.

We will honor them by remembering their lives,
and not by remembering their murderers.
