Marriage Crusader Broke His Own Vows

In 2004, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom made headlines by pandering to homosexuals and illegally allowing them to marry. He said that marriage is a fundamental civil right and that, in fighting for same-sex marriage equality, he was on “the right moral ground.”

Apparently the mayor’s moral convictions only apply to public life. Just over a year later, he had an affair. With a married woman. Turns out it was with the wife of his friend and campaign manager. Just when homosexuals were getting over their giddiness from Ted Haggard’s homosexual affair, this hits the news. It seems that moral crusaders on the right aren’t the only ones with feet of clay.
