High Gas Prices

So who is to blame for these high gas prices we are seeing?

Lowering gas prices was a running platform of the Democrat Party.

I place two levels of blame on the Democrat Party for today’s high gas prices.

1.) They champion our dependence on foreign oil, much of which comes from Hugo Chavez who would like to destroy our government. Very little comes from Iraq, but Democrats are still convinced we are at war over oil.

2.) They are in power now. Gas prices have gone up since they assumed power and they aren’t doing much about it.

Let’s talk about the real reason for high gas prices, overconsumption. The good news is that we can do something about it. We can be more careful in our driving habits and lower consumption. Why should we settle for gas prices that are above $1.50 per gallon. If we are more careful in our driving habits we will drive the price even lower. If we go back to our old habits we will be paying $5.00 per gallon next spring.

Maybe, but maybe not. Too many elements in the formula to blame just one.

Precisely what we’re doing now: Cutting down on gas use. That increases supply and the price goes down to attract use.

If we drill here when the price goes up, we can drill more to drive down the price.

YOU go first.

==Why should we settle for gas prices that are above $1.50 per gallon.==

You don’t have to settle.

==If we are more careful in our driving habits we will drive the price even lower.==

True cuz it increases supply.

However, how will you get the Chinese to stop driving and using more gas?

==If we go back to our old habits we will be paying $5.00 per gallon next spring.==

However, if we conserve, that makes mo’e gas available to, say, the Chinese who will feel free to drive more and cheaper cuz the supply will increase. So, we can do a lot, but so much depends on so many others.
