Democrats "Betraying" Us

General Petraeus or General Betray Us? This was the headline for MoveOn.org’s full page ad (pdf) in the NY Times on Monday. Many Democrat leaders joined Republicans in denouncing the ad. But not Hillary. She has stooped to a low unknown by any other leader.

WARNING! Click PLAY only if you have thick skin or a box of tissues handy as she proceeds to defame a decorated general, embolden our enemy and undermine our troops.

“You have been made the de facto spokesmen for what many of us believe to be a failed policy” in Iraq, Clinton said. “Despite what I view is your rather extraordinary efforts in your testimony both yesterday and today, I think that the reports that you provide to us really require a willing suspension of disbelief.”

Clinton added that “any fair reading of the advantages and disadvantages accruing post-surge, in my view, end up on the downside.”

Any supporter of Hillary today should be hanging their heads in shame after these comments. Is there any doubt now that Hillary is nothing more than a puppet of radical leftist groups like MoveOn.org?

It’s ironic how perfectly in tune Hillary’s hindsight is. She supported Petraeus and voted in favor of the war. . .When it was politically correct. And now she opposes them. . .When it’s politically correct. Where does she get that incredible hindsight? I’ll bet Bush wishes he had half her talent.

Hot Air:

Ponder the fact that our Democratic superiors, who have intoned so stirringly about how the administration has failed to take the war seriously, are willing to piss away the seven minutes of questions allotted to them for crap like this instead of asking Petraeus and Crocker questions about what’s happening on the ground.

I’ll tell you why. It’s because Democrats think they already know what is going on. They base their information on independent reports. Not military reports. Because those independents are doing all the work. Amazing. Like I said: puppets.

Stop The ACLU:

Even before his testimony was given, Democrats contended that Gen. David Petraeus’ report to Congress on the surge was a put-up job with a pre-ordained conclusion.

As if their seven minute, ad hominem attack wasn’t. Especially since they knew what he was going to say. We all did. Even her supporters in the liberal media, have cut back on reporting bad news any news from Iraq in comparison to recent years for the simple reason that conditions are improving in Iraq. The surge is slowly beginning to work. But, since Hillary must be politically correct and stay on the good side of MoveOn.org, she agrees to slander a decorated military general. Shame.

And when Bush announces a troop withdrawal (with a date no less!), Democrats crucify him for it proudly declaring that we need to be focusing our efforts on al-Qaeda, not Iraq. What planet have they been living on? Bush cannot make the right move. And it’s political correctness for Democrats as they attack Bush on every move he makes.

One other thing, why aren’t Democrats whining up and down Capitol Hill about a troop withdrawal from South Korea? Or how about from Kosovo, where Bill Clinton sent them? It’s all about political correctness to these Democrats. If it was truly about the safety of the troops, they would be equally as ardent about a retreat from these as Iraq.

Rudy wants the same ad rate as MoveOn.org. To the tune of $102,000 smackers off the going rate! As if …
